SUMMARY:"Rye Pottery" Robin Wilson
DESCRIPTION:“Rye Pottery” Robin Wilson – Chair of the Rye Potteries Society\nThis illustrated talk will record the important role which Rye Pottery has played from 1869 to the present day. \nIt will commence with illustrations of the vernacular pottery made under the Mitchell family’s ownership of the Cadborough works and\nlater at Belle View on Ferry Road\, Rye. A selection of the distinctive “hop ware” from the 1920’s to WWII will be illustrated.
