We are pleased to announce that Philip Streeter will give the next Society Talk entitled ‘George MacDonald Author and Poet’ in the Burton Room of the Royal Victoria Hotel commencing at 3pm on Sunday 11 June.

MacDonald is now widely regarded as a pioneer of modern fantasy literature. He lived for some years in Old Hastings practising as a non-conformist minister and held literary meetings in the St Leonards Assembly Rooms (now the Masonic Hall).
