Prince Albert Statue Community Group

About the Group

The group is a charity managed by a committee of trustees. It seeks to restore Prince Albert’s statue (above) to a public place. The statue used to adorn the Prince Albert’s memorial clock tower in Hastings town centre from 1862 to 1963. When the tower was demolished the statue was saved, but spent a number of decades in a disused greenhouse in Alexandra Park.

Membership is for people who are aged 18 or over. Prospective members should apply to the trustees. Membership is free.
