Members of Love Hastings Ltd are entitled to two free promotional spaces per year in the central locations on Wellington Place and Robertson Street. As a BID levy payer, you can become a member for free by visiting our website.

Hastings Tourist Information Centre (TIC) 
The TIC is offering free advertising opportunities for events, hotels and restaurants in Hastings. With Christmas fast approaching, the TIC is looking for restaurants offering Christmas menus and festive events which may be of interest to the thousands of visitors approaching them over the winter months. If you’d like to take up this free opportunity, please pop in to see them at Muriel Matters House or email Lara Bolch.

Shopwatch members meeting
All Shopwatch members are invited to attend a meeting on Wednesday 1st November, 10:30am – 12pm at Debenhams to discuss the issue of persistent offenders disregarding Shopwatch exclusions in place.
Chief Inspector Steve Curry, the Divisional Commander for Hastings and Bexhill, has agreed to attend, and the meeting will give businesses the opportunity to discuss possible ways to enforce the bans more effectively.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Simon, Business Support Warden, by emailingsimonanderson@swlsecurity.com. On arrival at Debenhams, please speak to a member of staff in the cosmetics department to sign in as a visitor.

Cost savings for businesses
We are currently working closely with a company who specialise in cost-savings for businesses. The company will be presenting to the BID Board of Directors on Monday 11th December.

Dementia Havens scheme
The Hastings & St Leonards Dementia Action Alliance is developing a network of Dementia Havens across our community. The intent is to provide places where people who are lost, confused or distressed can find patience, empathy and support. If you feel your business could support this scheme, please contact Steve Nuttall on 01424 421932.

The value of events in the Town Centre
We have just received information from wifi data about footfall and trends on Pirate Day, compared to the weekends before and after the event. We are in the process of interpreting this data and hope to share this information with businesses in our next e-newsletter.

Hastings Bonfire
Saturday 14th October 2017, 7pm
Hastings Borough Bonfire Society are back for another year with their spectacular torch-lit procession, bonfire and firework display. Programmes are available at the Tourist Information Centre for a suggested donation of £1. Further details including procession route is available on the HBBS website.
