Group Visit to Rye, Tuesday 15 October
Hastings & St. Leonards Society is organising a group visit to Rye Heritage Centre for Tuesday 15 October.
Included in the visit to the Heritage Centre is a showing of the ‘The Story of Rye’ in a 25 minutes model-show format with sound and light effects. Upstairs there is a ‘Penny Amusements’ heritage collection. We will also have a guided walk round Rye town with local historian (duration approx 90 minutes).
This is a ‘make your own way’ outing. We assemble at Rye Heritage Centre, The Old Sail Loft, Rye Strand Quay, for 11am. (101 bus departs Hastings Town Centre at 9.47 am, going via Old Town and Ore, arriving at Rye at 10.32 am; get off at Tillingham Bridge bus stop for short walk to the Heritage Centre).
Cost is £10 per person, set by Rye Heritage Centre to include the visit to the Centre, model-show and guided walk (we are therefore not required to make any donations). There is a £1 booking fee for each non-member of the H & St. L Society.

Please book as soon as possible as we have to make a non-refundable deposit to book group visit with Rye Heritage Centre. If insufficient bookings by 10 September, the outing will be cancelled.
West Hill Community Festival, concert tickets
There are some tickets available for the West Hill Community Festival opening concert at Emmanuel Church on Friday 20 September, 7.30 pm start. Benyounes Quartet is performing music by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Debussy. Tickets are free. To apply for ticket(s) e-mail: hstlsoc@gmail.com
